Because our shipments may include batteries and rechargeable batteries, we are obliged under the Batteries Act (BattG) to point out the following to you: Batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with household waste, there is a legal obligation to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Old batteries may contain harmful substances which, if not stored or disposed of properly, can cause harm to the environment or your health. But batteries also contain important raw materials, such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel, and can be recycled. After use, you can either return the batteries to us or return them free of charge to a suitable point near you (e.g. at a retail or community collection point or at our warehouse). Delivery to points of sale is limited to the quantities customary for end-users and to old batteries that the distributor has used or made available in its range as new batteries.

The symbol with the crossed-out bin means that you are not allowed to dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries with household waste. In addition to this symbol you will find the following symbols with the following interpretation:

• Pb: The battery contains lead
• Cd: The battery contains cadmium
• Hg: The battery contains mercury

To make this clear, all new electrical and electronic products put on the market since 2005 bear the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin as a visible symbol of resource protection and environmental protection.

You can bring old electrical appliances to a suitable collection point in the trade or in the community.

Remove the batteries and rechargeable batteries, if possible, and dispose of them as described in the section «Battery Law Information». On devices with data memories you have an obligation to delete personal data.
